Transgender - Is The Voice's Sasha Allen a girl?
Sasha is transgender at the beginning of her time in high school. It was a difficult time and a lot of stress, however Sasha knew with the support of his family and the music he could handle anything. Jim and Sasha are both song writers and have just recently formed an official band. In the past they've appeared in various local events, such as open mics. Even though The Voice coaches did not talk about Sasha's background, the duo as well as Jim discussed their journey to where they are today in an introductory clip played before their show. Jim and Sasha talked about what music they like, as well as their experiences. Sasha took up guitar for the first time at age six. It was the fact that his father was a teacher was a huge help for Sasha to learn the craft. Sasha was born a female and was unsure of his gender in his early years. In a recent Instagram post she spoke out about his struggles. Jim was overwhelmed with emotion when he explained why he could not be part of these trying times. Sasha Allen was born as a woman. Sasha Allen turns 19 in 2021. Sasha Allen began his transition into masculinity while just entering his first year of high school. Sasha said via Instagram, "I am the third transgender person to appear on this show and I'm delighted to be a transgender person in such a broad platform."
