Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is well-known American actress. She has starred in a variety of TV and film series, including "Christy" which is a comedy about a teenage girl known as Christy Huddleston. Her other notable roles include being the main character in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Martin's acting journey began when she was just seven when her aunt, a former nanny who cared for the children of Michael Landon, helped secure a spot as a special character in the 1982 film 'Father Murphy.' When she graduated from Yale University she began to pursue acting with a seriousness and landed roles on the small screen and big. Martin as well as being an actor, is also a skilled photographer and ballet dancer. Martin is also a mother of two children and is the official spokesperson for Lupus. After her sister's tragic death at the age of 19 Martin has been trying to raise awareness about Lupus and its symptoms.
